New York’s Gay Rugby Team Defeats Boston’s Gay Rugby Team

On Sunday, March 30th, the Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club (RFC), faced off against The Boston Ironsides RFC. In gruesome conditions of cold, rain, wind and sometimes calf deep mud both the Ironsides of Boston and the Knights of Gotham renewed their friendship off the pitch and competition on. No goalposts and puddles as big as the Charles River did not deter the spirits of either team.

About Gotham Knights
Formed in 2001, Gotham is a predominantly, but not exclusively, gay rugby club. It is committed to building a competitive, social, and diverse team, and welcomes players regardless of sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, or physical ability.
