Kiley, and Booms, back on the air

In 2002, I did a stint on Fox Sports Radio’s very popular afternoon drive sports talk show, “Kiley & Booms.” The duo of Kevin Kiley and Chuck Booms were split up before the end of the year and the show was canceled. Both men made random tours around the dial over the last five years, but I’m really happy to announce that both have landed in some solid spots.

Booms, who is the funniest person I’ve ever personally known, has his own morning show in Springfield, Mo., where he was incredibly popular due to the show. In 2003, Chuck invited me to co-host a Super Bowl party with him there, which was one of the highlights of my year.

Kevin Kiley had been on ESPN radio in Los Angeles for much of 2007. He had me on the show as a guest and a co-host this past summer. Kevin’s a really smart guy, a radio veteran. So it wasn’t a big surprise when he called me a couple weeks ago to tell me he had landed as Michael Irvin’s co-host on ESPN radio in Dallas. I’ve got a few questions I definitely want to ask Michael about one of his former teammates if they have me on sometime soon. –Cyd Zeigler jr.
