Former Juventus (that’s an Italian soccer club) managing director Luciano Moggi, who’s in a heap of trouble for alleged corruption, had some choice words for a television reporter Monday about the place of gays in soccer:

“There are no gays in football, I don’t know if players are against having them in their team but I definitely am,” he said.

“In the teams where I worked there were never any. I never wanted to have a homosexual player and I still wouldn’t sign one.”

Good thing he doesn’t have the chance. I’ll be curious to hear if he changes his tune after a couple years in prison with his new boyfriend, Bubbito. -Cyd Zeigler jr.
