If you attended last night’s San Jose Sharks at Dallas Stars NHL playoff game, you saw a game that did not end until 1:25 a.m. local time; on the East Coast, people watching Versus at that hour saw the game end at 2:25 a.m. What everyone saw was Dallas winning a 2-1 thriller that took four overtimes. A regular, non-OT NHL game has 60 minutes of playing time. These two team played an additional 69:03 of extra time with only 15-minute breaks between periods.
