Attention Canadians, and anyone else planning visits to the Great White North: does the phrase “He shoots, he scores!” excite you a little more than usual? Does the thought of making it with a hockey player turn you on? Or maybe you just have a fetish for goalie pads? If any of this applies, this may be the show for you. A touring ensemble from the One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theater, along with Toronto rock band Rheostatics, is presenting Five Hole: Tales Of Hockey Erotica.

The show was written by Dave Bindini, one of the Rheostatics, and (according to the OYR website) "weaves together a suite of electrifying, tender and hilarious love stories through the lens of our national pastime." Among the tales being told: "An NHL goalie is tight with his teammate, but dreams of getting MUCH tighter."

Now that’s intriguing, but based on the very strange (and NSFW) video of a small portion from the show here, I’m not sure I could sit through the whole thing. On the other hand, I’m going to be in Toronto March 6-11 for some opening round games in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. The show’s next stop is at the Centrepointe Theatre in Ottawa tomorrow night, with four other stops in Ontario through March 10th. The last two stops are on the 6th and 10th and seem to be within driving distance of Toronto. Maybe, just maybe, arrangements can be made.
