It took until the third game of the season, but openly transgender George Washington University point guard Kye Allums finally gave his fans a game to remember. Playing just 15 minutes, Allums racked up a game-high 12 points and hauled in 7 rebounds in the Colonials’ 63-42 victory over Coppin State. Seven of Allums’ points came in just 2:27 late in the first half to give his team a big halftime lead.

Allums' first two games, which were a homecoming for him in Minneapolis, didn't go so great as both were losses and Allums' numbers were lackluster. But this 4-for-5 shooting performance, with the 7 rebounds and a blocked shot, certainly helps erase all that. We'll be looking for great things from Allums in the coming weeks!
