Gay Welsh rugger Gareth Thomas held a coming-out party last Thursday at London’s club Movida. He was joined at the party by teammates and some gay celebrities.

“Everybody here tonight is celebrating that the world is changing,” he said. “We are here to send the message that it’s OK to be a sportsman and it is also OK to be gay.”

He apparently invited a closeted rugby player to the party, but the player declined. Given how many other top-level ruggers there were at the party, he would have fit in and no one would have suspected anything. It shows you just how scared closeted players are when they won't go to a party with a bunch of their straight colleagues for fear of bein suspected.
