People in Ghana go gay after win.

It appears that winning its opening World Cup match against Serbia has turned the entire nation of Ghana gay. At least according to the headline writer at Modern Ghana.com. Under the head "Ghana goes gay," we got this:

Ghana went into a jamboree yesterday when referee Héctor Baldassi of Argentina blew his final whistle to bring the Group D match between the Black Stars and Serbia to an end. … As expected, drinking bars were filled to capacity, as idyllic supporters stormed various drinking spots to take their favourite drinks as part of the wonderful celebrations.

I have not seen “gay” used to refer to happiness in ages, but this was obviously a case of poor translation. Funny nonetheless.
