George Washington University’s transgender basketball player Kye Allums is again battling the repercussions of a concussion he suffered in their Nov. 18 game against Coppin State, GW spokesperson Jesse Hooker has informed me. Allums had returned to play after Thanksgiving and lit up the scoreboard, leading the team in field goal percentage shooting 13-for-26 in December. He missed the team’s game in Miami versus Morgan State last Wednesday and a return date is unknown.

"Our Sports Medicine staff continues to monitor Kye and his status is day-to-day until he fully recovers," Hooker said.
