For a while in the early 2000s, Greg Congdon was a regular fixture in the media for his coming out story. Or rather, his story of how being outed as a high school football player ruined his life. He disappeared from public life in 2004 and took heavily to drinking, but teens still sought him out for advice.

His life is now back on track and he gave me the first interview since 2002. Here is my story updating Greg's life. Now 30, Greg is very thoughtful and hopes again to start making a difference for gay rights.
