Seth Pamperin of Carroll University in Wisconsin has actually been out to his tennis team for two years, but this is the first time he has talked about it to a national publication. Seth’s story is like those we’ve seen over and over: He feared coming out because sports is so “homophobic,” yet he’s found the complete opposite. When he told the captain of his team a couple years ago, the captain thought it was great. The coach thought it was great. Teammates think it’s great.
