We've been big fans of Eric Decker since he played for the University of Minnesota. Now with the Denver Broncos, Decker won the 2011 King of the Hardwood contest, voted on by Outsports readers as the world's hottest athlete. It was cool that after winning, Decker tweeted a thanks to fans for voting for him. His stripping photos didn't hurt his caused.
Decker shined on Monday Night Football in Denver's 23-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He had an electrifying 90-yard punt return that saw him leap into the stands, where he was groped by happy fans. He also had three catches for 53 yards.
Decker's punt return was the highlight for a Denver team that struggled to find offense in a sloppy game that saw a combined 25 penalties. By the end, fans were chanting for Tim Tebow to replace Kyle Orton at quarterback (which is insane since Orton's the better QB). There was a bit of history in the game -- Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski boomed a 63-yard field goal, tying him with Tom Dempsey and Jason Elam for the longest in league history.
