Our second report today on a homophobic tweet comes from Gays4soccer and features Vancouver Whitecap midfielder Lee Nguyen (right) calling teammate Brad Nighton a (and I quote) “fagggggggg.”

This was the same day that Gays4soccer announced the addition of Vancouver Whitecap Jay DeMerit to their list of allies.

Nguyen tweeted what seems like a deeply heartfelt apology to Gays4soccer and asks what he can do to make up for it:

The Whitecaps issued a statement saying Nguyen has gotten a formal warning.
