Out gay gymnast Josh Dixon is taking his second step toward the U.S. Olympic team this weekend at the Visa Championships in St. Louis. He placed ninth overall after the first day of competition on Thursday. There are 40 competitors at the Championships, 28 of whom competed in all six events. Dixon finished fifth in the vault and high bars, and he tied for seventh in the floor exercise. Danell Leyva and John Orozco finished 1-2 overall. Twelve gymnasts will be invited to the Olympic Trials in San Jose, June 28-July 1.
