First of all, welcome to the new site! It's all so fresh and new and a little exciting. It's that time of year again, kids. It's time for King of the Hardwood IX.

The initial list of 64 is currently being compiled. If you have any nominees, please post them here. For the new kids, King of the Hardwood is a contest that pits 64 of the hottest professional male athletes against each other in a head to head match-up with the "hottest" athlete advancing to the next round. Ultimately, the hottest athlete will be the King of the Hard wood. Past champions are Jeremy Bloom (twice), Brad Ausmus, Ben Cohen, Sean Lamont, David Williams, Eric Decker and last year's winner, Jake Dalton.

I can tell you now, that as usual, my initial list contains well known atheltes and sports and not so well known athletes and sports. I have the usual suspects and many new faces. I am trying to compile names and photos so I can announce the brackets on Sunday, March 17th to coincide with the NCAA bracket announcements. I noticed that this new site has a poll feature so I may utilize it to run this year's tournament. I look forward to hearing your recommendations (photos help as well)!
