If Paul Ryan were able to pass his "Ayn Rand" budget to privatize Medicare, it would represent a significant progression toward placing healthcare further out of the reach of sick people.

In such a system fewer and fewer people would be able to afford to be sick. Emergency rooms would clog up with these people. "Liberals" would pay for insurance that delivers little other than emergency care and "conservatives" would simply not buy insurance.
What is worse, private companies when less regulated have a tendency to not disclosed information about epidemics. They do not want to make their industry look bad, especially their individual company. Resistant cases of infections in hospitals would go under-reported and the recent large increase would not even be known.
You can not medicate through advertisement. It is something that has been done more and more recently as the FDA is further strangled by neo-liberal group-thought.
Only someone earning the minimal salary of an athlete would be able to afford a major injury.
