Fashion is no stranger to controversy, just see our earlier post about the rage and upset caused by Vogue. But with advertising, thin models and designer falling from grace, it seems controversy sells, and we round up the most shocking fashion moments we can find....
As far as risque advertising goes, this advert reaches new heights, bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase, fashion junkie. Two models, one looking particularly away with the fairies is taking a ‘hit’ of a white vest made to look much like something else. The powder covered credit card adds some class, don’t you think?
"This shows a grave lack of respect for the Pope, an offence to the feelings of believers, a clear demonstration of how publicity can violate the basic rules of respect for people," said Father Federico Lombardi, the Vatican's spokesman.
Does anyone remember this headache inducing mess? Christian Louboutin outlet first filed a lawsuit against YSL in April 2011, accusing the label of copying the famous Louboutin red soles, The judge, however, rejected the claim saying "Louboutin's claim would cast a red cloud over the whole industry, cramping what other designers do, while allowing Louboutin to paint with a full palette."
Unfortunately not, it dragged on for another lifetime. Louboutin outlet appealed the decision, which was then partially overturned by the New York Federal Appeals Court, where the judge granted the shoemaker the right to protect its red soles except when the shoe itself is red.
