Several prominent gay athletes have big games this weekend:
- Robbie Rogers and the Los Angeles Galaxy host the Western Conference Finals against Sounders FC Sunday at 2pmPT in Carson, Calif. Rogers has had a strong second half of the season after switching positions and has been a big part of the Galaxy’s sudden rise in Major League Soccer this season.
- Derrick Gordon plays both Saturday and Sunday as UMass takes on Notre Dame and Florida State. The games are part of the Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Notre Dame and UMass are both 3-0.
- Mitch Eby continues his senior season as Chapman football takes on Linfield in the first round of the Div. III NCAA playoffs. Linfield lost to Conner Mertens and the Willamette football team just a few weeks ago.
