We got to talking about religion in sports this week, and San Francisco sports writer Kevin Lynch called into the show. He shared his conversations with 49er tight end Vernon Davis about gay athletes and how Davis told him his religion helped lead him to acceptance of gays. Gay pro soccer player Anton Hysen has made the leap across the Atlantic Ocean and is now playing professional soccer for the Myrtle Beach Mutiny in South Carolina. We talked to him about his experiences so far in the first few weeks of his U.S. tour, what he's been surprised by, the reception in South Carolina, and the difference in levels of play between European soccer and American soccer.
