Barry Alvarez and Wisconsin Badgers welcome LGBT athletes with 'You Can Play' video

Administrators, coaches and athletes in Madison gather to send a message of support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in sports.

The University of Wisconsin athletic department has put together a comprehensive You Can Play video welcoming lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to the Badgers family. The video includes legendary football coach Barry Alvarez, who is now the school's athletic director. What makes the piece powerful is the slew of other athletic and student administrators who appear in the video, sending a real message from the top that there is strong support at the school for gay athletes and coaches.

Athletes are included from hockey, football, tennis, golf, track & field, basketball, soccer, softball and others. Check it out!
