The website Pornhub begged people to stop uploading clips of Germany's 7-1 pounding of Brazil in the World Cup using sexual metaphors because the content was not adult enough and slowed their servers.

— Pornhub Katie (@Pornhub) July 8, 2014 Pornhub started the whole thing when it sent a tweet during the game saying “If we wanted to see a Brazilian gang-bang, we would’ve just gone to PornHub.” This caused a bunch of uploads with the following theme:

— Google Facts (@GoogleFacts) July 9, 2014 The site told Supercompressor.com: “A bunch of users have been uploading hundreds of videos and, because it’s not adult, we have to take it down. People are doing it for laughs and it probably has to do with our tweet getting 35,000 retweets.”
Traffic to porn sites has dropped during World Cup games but something tells me there will be a German baby boom come next April with a lot of boys being named Bastian, Thomas or Miroslav.
