Robbie Rogers waited over two years to score his first Major League Soccer goal since coming out and joining the LA Galaxy, and he chose a heck of a time to do it. He took a pass from Robbie Keane in the 32nd minute of the Galaxy’s match against the Portland Timbers Wednesday night and stuck the ball in the right side of the goal in what was the Galaxy’s Pride Night. To score his first goal on LGBT Pride Night is like it was pure poetry.

The Galaxy went on to crush Portland, 5-0. They've now climbed into third place in the Western Conference. Look out!

Last week Rogers was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for his performance in the Galaxy's June 13 match against his old team, the Columbus Crew. That match happened to be during Los Angeles' Pride Weekend.

After missing a few games due to injury, Rogers certainly returned to the pitch ready to make a statement for Pride month!
