We know there are plenty of guys out there playing flag football. Right now, we know only of two gay teams playing. If you would like yourself listed as a local contact for gay flag football, or you're playing on a team, please e-mail us and give us the pertinent info.

The Report From L.A.
Sept. 15, 2001

--Weather. Sunny, 80, near-perfect.

--Turnout: A record 26

--Result: Green beat Orange by 10.

-MVP
: With 26 it was hard for anyone to stand out so we'll make it a group award for everybody being so cool and making it a fun day.

--Catch of the day: Hope's superb over-the-shoulder grab for a touchdown in the end zone off of a pass from Jim.

--In the right place at the right time: James, with two picks.

--Defensive play of the day: Sean's interception where in streak into the flat from free safety, dove and made the pick.

--Fashion award: Jay, for his gold-painted toenails. Thanks for sharing.

--Oops award: Jim, who caught a pass, spun around and promptly lost it into the arms of a defender.

--Media award: Brent, for his camerawork documenting Week 1.

--Great defense ... not award. To Team Orange, which failed to cover Kevin at wideout, leading to an easy TD pass from Peter.

--Hey, don't hit your teammate award: Sean, who collided with Mike on a fourth-down pass and nearly broke the play up. Mike held on for a first down.

--Cool play of the day: The direct snap to Demond, which fooled everyone as he scooted for about 20 yards.

--Next Game: Sept. 22, Hollywood High School, 11:30 a.m.

(Note: Outsports co-founders Jim Buzinski and Cyd Zeigler Jr. play in this group.)
