Badgers are 6-2. They spanked UW M, but that should be a given. DAMMMNNNNNNN--I wish Devin Harris was still playing--final four, definitely. Clayton Hanson did not do too well--I played AAU with him. Where are my BIG TEN guys?

Raised in Illinois here, so I've been a Fighting Illini fan my whole life. As for your Badgers, right now I think they'll finish 2nd in Big 10. Ryan will find a way to get a few more wins outta that team than they should. Now had Harris stayed, Wisconsin-Illinois would've been a battle royale.

Big Ten through and through here... Grew up in Iowa, where the Hawkeyes rule. Badgers have looked tough this year, but you all are STILL overlooking the Hawkeyes! BOY do they look tough. And if they can get by Bobby Knight and Texas Tech next week in Chicago, they will most likely be looking at a 12-1 record heading into the Big Ten schedule. Too bad they only face the Badgers once this season, in Madison on Feb. 9th. Care to put your money where your mouth is for a little friendly wager....

CHIathlete -- why is Iowa taking on T.T. in Chicago? Is there a tourney taking place? Just seems an odd neutral site -- hopefully you'll be able to go to the game. We saw OSU v. T.T. last night on TV -- the Buckeyes should have won handily, but shot like crap from the FT line until the very end.
tluu -- Clay Hanson has had only one great offensive game this season (against UCSB) -- but his defensive play has been terrific -- so Ryan continues to start him. During the Marquette game, someone from the Badgers needed to get hot from outside to answer Diener's scoring ... and Clay tried ... but failed. And I love having him on the court -- he is eye candy. In our house we call him Clayboy.

Bucky- I too am hoping for a strong year for Iowa. There has been talk that this would be the 'do or die' year for Alford. Some high expections after a couple of mediocre seasons and team disappointments. Personally I like Alford and want to see him around for a while.
No tourney in Chicago, both teams just agreed to play at a neutral site and Chicago has previously hosted past Big Ten tourneys. For a short time there was some animosity between Knight and Alford, but things seem fine now.
I did not see the OSU/TT game last night, how did Knight's squad look?
I have hinted to the bf that tickets to the Iowa game at the United Center would be the perfect Xmas gift....we'll see.

DC Bucky--
"Clayboy" is definitely eye candy--I get cavities just looking at him. Try playing in the same AAU thing as him. What I like most about Clayboy is that he came to UW as a walk on and proved himself and got a scholarship. Diener's not bad either.

While I'd like nothing better than for the Badgers to challenge Illinois for the BT title, I haven't been impressed by their play so far. The win over Maryland was nice, but didn't think either team played especially well. Gotta improve our play on the road, though we compensate some as we are on a roll at home (33 straight).
Unless our play improves (especially at point), I'd say its gonna be a dogfight between Iowa, MSU, Wisconsin, and toss in Minnesota, Ohio State and Indiana, behind Illinois.

Badgers looked pretty good last night. They shut down Alabama's high-powered offense. Tucker played some good ball as did Wilkinson. Wisconsin is a totally different team at home then on the road. Big Ten season coming up soon.

After 31 years, the streak is finally over. I would have taken a one point buzzer-beating victory, but it appears the Badgers were in control in the second half. The team seems to be gaining some momentum lately. Now they need a victory at IU. They'll be smarting after their loss to NU.

Unlike the last few years when the Badgers had one go-to-guy (Devin Harris and Captain Kirk), every game this year a different player seems to take control -- Tucker ... then Wilkinson .. and then last night Morley. Terrific outside shooting. Bring on the Hoosiers.

The thing I like about the Big Ten is that you never know. All the teams are capable of beating anyone in the conference--even a Northwestern or a Penn State has the possibility of beating (although slim)say Illinois--hold on bad example--Wisconsin or MSU. My point is that conference play is strong and unpredictable. Which I think makes for an interesting conference season and tournament. What the hell was Morley doing jacking all those tres?

Boo had some "personal" issues to take care of. I wonder if it had anything to do with that felony assault charge that got reduced if he went on probation. Hmmm... UW still needs a P. guard. I hope Flowers steps up.

I play at 1:00 p.m. Foster/Damen. Raf and Scott' team drafted me. We should have a pretty tight squad. I'm stoked. Got my hops back after surgery and am dunking with ease.

I'll take Boo and his family at their word that he is having problems dealing with the closely-spaced deaths of his maternal grandparents.
As for point guard, I think Chambliss is really coming around. His assists are way up. Listening to both the Alabama and Purdue games, it seemed he is running the show pretty well.

Dear BPT_336,
I will ask CHIathlete to take the pictures this Saturday and forward them to ya. I dunno bout the shirtless part though--sounds too pretentious for me. I also have no idea where I'm gonna find a farm boy in Chicago to posterize? Any ideas CHIathlete? Do you want two handed jams or one? LOL.

DC Bucky - I agree. Chambliss does seem to be coming along at point guard. I like our chances tomorrow at IU. Although we probably will not be able to depend on the outside shot as much as the season wears on. Especially coming from Zach Morley....

I wonder if Badgers are going to be able to bounce back from their loss to Indiana. What the heck happened. Wright had Hanson for lunch and ate him for 30. What are we gonna do no man?

The Badgers will be fine. They're going to have bad games as they figure out how to survive without Devin. The Big Ten season will be good prep for the NCAA tourney - Bo's a good coach and he'll get 'em ready.

We spoke too soon about Chambliss -- awful stats from the IU game: 0-7 from the floor; 0 assists; 4 turnovers.
btw -- in case you didn't know, the Badgers are on national TV tonight vs. An Ohio State University. 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Alando Tucker injured his leg in practice and probably won't play.

Oooh, could be ripe for the upset, especially if the Buckeyes play the way they did against the Hawkeyes!

Once again? Stick to the ACC thread where you actually might know what you're talking about.
Wilkinson scores 29 (should've been 30+ if he makes his free throws) and WI wins at home again. 37 in a row at home, longest streak in the country. I can't wait for Illinois to come to Madison in 2 weeks.
