The contestants for the next edition of The Amazing Race have been announced.

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race11/

Not sure about some of these pairs being considered "all stars". And ugh, Rob and Amber AGAIN!

I love that Danny and Oswald are back. They were actually my favorite in the past seasons to watch. Surprised the hippies, Colin/Christie or Jonathan/Victoria aren't back; not my favorites, but thought they would be picked.

I don't like Romber either, but the Guidos are smarter and will out-evil them.

You will be surprised on who the final 4 will be. I had the opportunity to see all 4 teams in action during a stop in Guam in Dec. IT was very interesting to see what goes behind the filming. It will be interesting to see what actually makes it on TV. They probably filmed for a couple of hours to get just a few minutes of final footage. When the epsiode airs, I will give you more of my take on the "realism" of the tasks accomplished.

YEA, Shmira, Kentucky AND Kevin & Drew! I also like the idea of Brokeback Eric with one of the Double D's although I would have preferred the Hippies. (Shucks, no Bolo...)

Maybe BJ and Tyler weren't considered because they won not that long ago?

I'm shamelessly thrilled and can't wait for the new season. Hopefully it won't be the last.

I have to say, I'm really looking forward to seeing my two all-time favorite teams again - Cha Cha Cha and Mirna and Schmirna!!!

In anticipation, I watched this YouTube clip of the best of Mirna and Schmirna:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoAUj5e9fQU...ted&search=

I love the last part, Phil cried too when they were finally eliminated.

TAR:AS starts this weekend! I'm kinda bummed that Colin & Christie couldn't be on the show ... this season has some very strong personalities, so it's going to be great to see how the teams interact. Since there are quite a few villains, it's going to be amusing to see which team becomes the biggest villain.

I dreamed last night that Kentucky was the first Philimination, followed by Teri & Ian. We'll see if I'm psychic in three days. THREE MORE DAYS 'TIL THE PREMIERE! Woo-hoo! I'm so gosh darn excited...

BTW, aren't the Oscars next week? Is CBS gonna run a new ep against it?

Great episode tonight ... However, such STUPID mistakes from veteran teams! Ugh ... when it says that you need a certain enterance, you should go through THAT enterance.

LMAO ... Loved the footrace comments from Charla!
Charla: We can beat them in a footrace.
Mirna: YEAH RIGHT!

BTW, Mary (Kentucky) is JUST as shrieky as before, if not worse.

Seemed like they cut a lot of footage, for obvious reasons (so many teams). The episode was interesting cause you were pondering the "what ifs" on a lot of teams if they could be the first team eliminated as 8 or 9 of the teams at one point of the other were last or close to being in last place.

Agreed ... I wish that the first episode was 90 minutes or 2 hours (I remember Season 7's first episode was 2 hours) since there were quite a few "what ifs" with respect to getting to the airport and getting to the Roadblock. I was a bit bummed with the Roadblock since it seemed that one choice was obviously quicker than the other. They said that this season was going to be more difficult, but it didn't seem much different thus far.

I think a lot of those teams knew they were close to the Pit Stop, knew they weren't in last place, and wanted to just check in as soon as possible. I'm sure it'll get more difficult, although I was hoping to see Mary climb up something again in the first episode like the Great Wall. That was priceless last season.

Definitely -- this went beyond frenetic editing, all the way to wormhole.

A couple of teams (Mirna & Schmirna and the Flat Frats, IIRC) were hopelessly disoriented trying to find the eco-ranch, then all of a sudden they're through the task and at the mat. Did I blink and miss something? OTOH, if you've got to skip some details, eleven horse manicures (hooficures?) and mane-cuts would be right at the top of the list.

OMFG ... You really have to watch Danny & Oswald's Mat Chat on CBS.com. Oswald is a f***ing riot. He's complimentary to the other teams and he's very witty without being caustic.

I like the idea of an All Star edition of this show much better than and All Star Survivor. That said, they could have picked some better "stars". Teri and Ian? Really??? Dustin aand Kandice? Really??? I liked Jon Vito and Jill but they're not really All Stars. And I like Joyce and Uchenna but they just won pretty recently. Also don't care for the fact that thay allowed Eric and Danielle together.

I was hoping Kevin and Drew would get ousted last night. JillVito screwed up by asking for directions. They were given a freakin' map! Sadly I can see Romber rolling over this field.

I like Rob and Amber as well, I can appreciate their competitiveness. However I'm really hoping Mirna/ Schmirna and Cha Cha Cha do well, they are my favorites. I'm very disappointed that Jon Vito is gone, he is very very hot!

As pointed out by others, the All-Star concept for TAR is much more interesting than Survivor or other Reality shows. Last nights episode was very fun to watch.

(chemguy means the detour, not roadblock of course)

So I'm not psychic.

An okay first leg but what's with them being supplied with both a map and the hint to enter the park through the north entrance? These are All-Stars! Why the helping hand? I say screw 'em - let them figure these things out themselves.

I didn't see the season with Danny & Oswald so I had no idea they were so FABULOUS!

I loved at one point of the show in Danny/Oswald's car, one was complimenting the other and the other said something to the effect of "keep stroking me"

Mary was wearing a T-shirt with the Cho Brothers on it. What, no love for Bama? I don't see another alliance like that this time.

I like to think that these teams are too savvy to try to form a permenant alliance. I think that the teams will have a certain level of mutual respect for one another, but if there is a team that tries to play with Chotegrity, I hope that they are Philiminated post-haste.

I missed the 2nd half, due to the Oscar's. I'll have to catch it on CBS.com. I'm enjoying TAR All-Stars much more than I thought I would.

Not once but TWICE the teams were equalized at airports! The hell? The teams' standings got shuffled at the Roadblock but it winds up not mattering. Again.

Sorry to see K&D go but what was Drew talking about it being a brutal leg? Seemed the second easy one in a row - nothing too physically demanding or anything.

C'mon TAR, give 'em hell! They're "All-Stars"!

Oh, and I'm liking Shmirna a lot less this time around. And Mary too. (David, why so whipped?) Still don't like Guido.
