... and Fedor reigns supreme

Excellent event last night. The Shields Miller fight was a wrestling/ jui-jitsu technical battle. Gegard Mousasi looks more and more impressive each fight, and Fedor once again dominates another worthy opponent. Here are the results:

Main Card:
Heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers - Fedor Emelianenko by KO (round 2)
Welterweight Jake Shields vs Jason “Mayhem” Miller - Jake Shields by Dec
Light Heavyweight Gegard Mousasi vs Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou - Gegard Mousasi by KO (round 2)
Heavyweight Antonio Silva vs Fabricio Werdum - Fabricio Werdum by Dec

Preliminary Card:
Bantamweight Jeff Curran vs Dustin Neace - Jeff Curran by Sub (round 1)
Womens 145 Roxanne Modafferi vs Marloes Coenen - Marloes Coenen by Sub (round 1)
Welterweight Mark Miller vs Deray Davis - Canceled
Middleweight Shamar Bailey vs John Kolosci - Shamar Bailey by Dec
Middleweight Louis Taylor vs Nate Moore - Nate Moore by Sub (round 2)
Welterweight Christian Uflacker vs Jonatas Novaes - Christian Uflacker by Dec

I forgot this was on CBS and watched the Spike telecast instead. Spike had the Anderson Silva/Forrest Griffin "fight". For the first time ever watching the UFC, I wondered if the fight was fixed. Just didn't seem right to me. At the KO, it sure seemed like Griffin was being dramatic. I agree with Joe Rogan that it has to be the most embarassing KO seen in the UFC; particularly by an elite fighter like Griffin.

I'm wondering if they asked Forrest to take a fall to hype Silva. Hopefully not. FG better beat Tito Ortiz or he better hone his acting skills. (He did pretty well on 'Law & Order' particularly the nude scene!)
