The Galt house is not the prime restauran in Louisville. Go to Bardstown road (5 minutes from downtown it's a mini verson of halstead) for indian, go to kashmir. days coffee is a gay coffee alternative to Starbucks (free wi-fi) Uptown cafe has decent (not great american cuisine) Ramsi's has middle eastern food that can eb inconsistent but in a great atmosphere. The best tabouleh, baba gahnouj can be found at Grape leaf on Frankfort avenue.
Relatively pricy but pretty decent reataurants include Lily's and Blu.
Just don't order fish while in Louisvile.
Nightlife is bardstown road totally. although the gay nightlife is downtown on main street (Connection, Tryangles etc) but gay nightlife is Bardstown road.

Does anyone have any dining recommendations for the Louisville area?
I will be there next weekend with friends.
The last two times I have been there I ate right at the Galt House (which was pretty good) or at the track.
Just looking for someplace different to take a large party to late dinner.
Also - Any suggestions on nightlife?
