Several discussion boards were hit yesterday by Russian spammers using such names as "yannbarvss" "abcandf" "accshat" and "YarikCR". Look for phrases such as "I am amazed by the skills of some people here" "LinkSaver - cheker!" and "All About Accshatyrut!!"

Undoubtedly there are more. When I find them, I will report them.

Remember: keep the Internet clean; practice spammus interruptus.

Well for some reason the automatically generated spam adds the smiley emoticon so it's prretty easy to spot them when looking at the new posts. They are annoying but it's nice they make them easy to spot.

If these posts are still on the board after some time, I guess it's because moderators are not around?

We could do evil things if no moderators are present.

Is this related to all the ads for Phentermine and similar drugs that I've been seeing pop up every now and again? Any time I've seen one of those, I report them. I don't know what good it does, but they seem to disappear, so that's good. Hopefully these will go away, too.

Our moderator caught a ton of this stuff and disposed of it.

Yesterday I responded to a thread (because it made absolutely no sense) in this area titled "I'm Just Testing A Post" or something to that nature. The persons board name was AnnaMeas. Was that also the same case of Ruski spam?
