I really like this idea- it made sense because it truly encompasses the change in society- and it also brought to focus many of the years stories under one big heading.

Of the Top 3 nominations, the leaders of 1) China, 2) Iran and 3) The YouTube founders- I thought that the choice to make it about "You" and that small individuals in society can band together to prove that the little guy can still have power- is both uplifting and empowering in a year where mostly we felt or could have felt a bit out of control in this world.

Actually, the more that I think about it, the more I think the editors of Time have become too lazy for words. They get paid a lot of money to make a choice and the choosing of the American public is just a cop out in my opinion. Some would say it's creative, where I see it as pure laziness on their part.

Jon Stewart hilariously ranks out Time Magazine, Time-Warner, CNN, Soledad "Canary" O'Brien and the sleazily smarmy Rick Stengel.

YES! Someone else famous is echoing what I have been saying all along. The editors of Time Magazine are abdicating any influence that they might have in the media. They have proven their laziness in their selection.
