The Number 19 jersey of one of the best and classiest professional athletes,Steve Yzerman,was retired this evening.Detroit fans feel very proud and honored to have been a witness to this gentleman's awesome career!!!

A very classy guy, I caught the retirement ceremony. It's amazing how superstardom can make complete pricks out of some people while others(Like Stevie Y) are as classy as ever.

I must be getting old or something. Hard to believe this kid is retiring already!! I echo the comment about class act. What he brought to the Red Wings was just enormous!

It was a very nice ceremony for a classy guy. There are a lot of athetes who could take lessons from Steve on how to handle success.
