which fictious poll are you referring to ??

apparently one where #7 Memphis isn't included.....or one that has 26 teams....???

AP and Coaches

Big East has 6 teams that either made the AP or Coaches Poll. The 6 teams I listed. Again, understanding that you need everything broken down for you because of your inability to grasp sports in its entirety, I will be more detailed for sports challenged individuals such as yourself.

Additionally, my apologies to Memphis.

Oh, so only 4 Big East teams made BOTH polls.

that's fine.....I knew you were trying to spin things to make the Big East look more favorable. Of course, the SEC, ACC, and Pac-10 don't have to try to impress others. Its already a given.

Those conference don't have 6 different teams ranked in the top 25 either and most likely won't get 8 NCAA bids either.

You know I have your back when it comes to the quality and depth of Big East Hoops. But you have to be fair and can't throw numbers about bids and rankings around when there are 57 teams playing basketball in your conference. If the Pac-10 gets a very possible 6 bids, that would be 60% of the conference. Where as the Big East even with 8 bids would only have 50% dancing. Also as recently as last week, the Pac 10 had 5 teams in the same Top 25 poll ... 50% of the league. So props to the Big East but let's keep some perspective.

That being said, I can't wait to see which Big East team will bounce my Cougars from the first round this year. Sigh. sad.gif

Speaking of BYU, the Mountain West's had a very good year. UNLV, BYU, and Air Force should be tourney teams. All three have the capabilities to advance Sweet 16 and beyond. Even San Diego State could surprise with its talent in the conference tourney.

Yeah but the Mountain West has a reputation of not doing so well in the tourney. Then again they usually get three teams in as double digit seeds. BYU's run in the Top 25 could be short lived with tough road games at San Diego State and Air Force coming up. However, anyone except for TCU could conceivably win the conference tourney which could send a possible four teams to the dance.
