Jim at Outsports
Hey Everyone:

We will once again have an NCAA men's pool and this year will be much better in terms of its ease of use and features:

--You can now change your bracket anytime up to the tip of the first game.
--Standings and picks will be easier to read.
--There will be a scoreboard on the pool home page.
--There are 300+ links to all manner of college basketball websites to help you with your picks.

You can check it out HERE.

Feel free to signup now and fill your bracket in starting Sunday. We encourage early signups in case there are any issues we need to fix; if you see or get errors post them here and we will alert the Admin. I do know that all login names can't contain spaces (why I am OutsportsJim and not Jim at Outsports). Also, once the games start there will be a Top 20 standings on the pool home page.

Thanks!

PS: Text on the pool home now reads: "Once you are logged in you can change your picks at any time until March 14 at noon."

That actually will be March 15 at noon, when the first games start and this will be fixed.

Congrats on the new format. I like it even if I am tied for 263rd. sad.gif

HOLY SHIZNIT!!

I cannot believe I am tied for 3rd right now!!

I am never good at picking these at all. It only took me 6 minutes to pick my whole bracket LOL

I know I am going to go downhill really quick, so I have to enjoy the moment!!!!

Actually now that I check again I'm tied with you at 238 Jim.

I'm Brahmin (cause one of my picks to reach the final final is Boston.) I picked Florida (no way I call myself a Gator) to beat them so if either loses early I'm screwed.

But I guess since my "Max" is 133 (whatever that means) I'm currently ranked above you. tongue.gif

Complicated ranking system.

Who did you pick for the final two kick?

Tied for 17th...not too shabby....
CHIathlete
Well, I'm tied for 300th....but at least I have a chance at my entire Final 4 being there.

GO Ducks! Go J-Hawks! Go Buckeyes! Go Tar Heels!

Wow! Where did all of these people come from in this pool? I'll take 12th!! And congrats UNLV and Air Force!!

Wow...after spending most of the tourney in the mid-300s, (I think I was 339th at one point) I can jump all the way to 38th if things Florida beats Ohio State in the final. I got all four of the Final Four.

Is there anyway to check how many people got all four teams of the Final Four correct?
leapster
One of the standings columns is the number of correct picks by round. If you click on that column it will sort from high to low. This reveals that there were 35 entries (12.8%) who got all 4 Final Four teams, and 25 entries (7.1%) who got none. Here are the 35 that got them all right:

It also shows that 12 people can still finish 1st.

Best I can do is a tie for 79th according to the "viable outcomes". Actually I prefer 69's but whatever. tongue.gif

Nice that the Terps showed a little promise this year, though I suspect the ACC's dominance of B-Ball is a thing of the past no matter how much they spend on sports.

Well I refuse to let them take the fun out of it for me, no matter how much money is involved.
