But any Big East supporter is really hoping for wins in the later rounds, something that hasn't happened in any form of great massiveness of over the last several years.

Agreed. 4-0 is a good start, though, and if Nova can surprise, we have a sold shot at 8-0. The weekend will be filled with great games...I can't wait!

Sorry guys! UConn opened the door and could never shut it. I don't know if it's fear of making mistakes with Calhoun to answer to or kids not handling pressure well, but they've been no shows at the end of the season in games they obviously cared deeply about.

Go 'Nova!

Congrats WVU. My Panthers lost their edge on all counts and bowed out in very disappointing fashion. I think we were tired. You can't shoot that way and beat a Tom Izzo team. And we still don't have that go-to guy that so many other top-rated teams have. Young could be it, but he doesn't seem to scream for the ball late in the game.

Still, we had a great year and I am proud of the team. Blair will only get better and hopefully, Young will stick around for his senior year.

Go Big East!

Thanks for that! Love that kid! And he's right, the competition in this league really prepares you for the best the rest of the country has to offer.

Doesn't mean much but Big East gets 7 in the final poll and UCONN is not one of them.

Going to be interesting how this conference evolves over the next few seasons. Although some teams would have like to have advanced farther in the tournament, the conference has to be happy with how competitve this year was.

I agree. Although it certainly was disappointing to not have a team in the Final Four, I think everyone would agree that the four who went to San Antonio were clearly the best four teams in the country. Beyond those four teams from different conferences, I think it's safe to say the Big East was the most competitive conference in America. I think the future is very bright....I just wish it would start tomorrow because by college b-ball withdrawal symptoms are very problematic.

ESPN Classic had the 8 greatest games from this past year's NCAA tournament on TV this weekend which was awesome, but (chuckling), but half of them were Big East defeats as they showed WVU losing to Xavier, Georgetown losing to Davidson, UCONN losing to San Diego and Marquette to Stanford. Here's to classic Big East victories next year!

FYI, they also showed Memphis-Kansas, Kansas-Davidson, Butler-Tennessee and Drake-Western Kentucky. I got to TIVO and see some of these games that I didn't watch much live because we were getting a different feed. I'm sure Classic will show these games in the years to come.
