Why the extortion attempt?

He's being extorted by the estranged wife of his team's equipment manager. She apparently gave an interview to a local TV station but they declined to air the interview because they couldn't verify her accusations. So at this point the public has no idea what this is about. She probably wouldn't have any info on recruiting violations so I have to wonder if this is about some infidelity. If she's pissed at her husband maybe she's saying Pitino and her husband were playing around or that she herself had an affair with Pitino. I just can't imagine what other kind of stuff the equiment manager's wife would be privvy to.
