Hey all - I got the ok from Cyd to post something about a new site created in-part by Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly, the great ISU point guard from 2004-07 whom I have talked about frequently in my first Big 12 women's thread (starting back in 2006). It's called "the Recrewter" and it's for any athlete in any sport looking to move on to the next level. Her site can help high school students (and coaches, for that matter) begin to navigate the waters of the recruiting process. Lyndsey (along with colleague Andrew Jones) has been through it all and can really offer sound advice to those seeking it.

So if anyone knows of a prospective collegiate athlete (male or female) who is trying to figure out how to start attracting attention to themselves, what to do after being contacted by a college with an offer, or anything in between or beyond, you'll want to let them know about this website!

Go to http://www.therecrewter.com/ to check it out and see for yourself what they can do to help and then don't hesistate to tell your kids, friends, nieces, nephews, grandkids, etc. about the Recrewter. Think about it - it could mean the difference between just going to college and going to college on an athletic scholarship, so what do you have to lose?

Oh, and no, Lyndsey didn't put me up to this post, but I told her I would do what I could to help people find out about the website. That's what friends are for, right? smile.gif

Bump: to keep this thread visible through basketball season. smile.gif

Another bump to get through tournament time.

Since we're coming up on basketball season again, thought I would give this another bump to make it visible. Pass this site along to any prep students you know who are wanting to be or are going through the recruiting process (not just necessarily for hoops, either). It's a goldmine of information! smile.gif
