My backpacking crew is going to Yosemite for about 4 days next October. None of us really know the park. Our agenda is 4 nights on the trail and 3 nights camping.
What thoughts does this esteemed group have to share about sites to see and places to go? We are all relatively fit for being a bunch of old guys. We have backpacked the Hermit trail in the Grand Canyon.
All suggestions are welcome.

Half-dome is probably the most famous, must-do hike in the park. If you start at 6:00 a.m., you'll be back around 8:00 p.m. It's a good multi-day trip also ... Nevada Falls is a great mid-trip stop.
There are also a series of "huts" in the High Sierra accessible from the Tioga Road. The huts are a day's hike apart and they provide meals and lodging.
Be sure you make it to the top of Glacier Point, and the bases of Yosemite and Bridal Veil Falls.

Tragically, I am the only gay guy on these little adventures. Also, fit is a relative expression. We are all in our 50's and definitely show the wear and tear of time.
However, I greatly appreciate the idea.
