Well this is a great story let me explain.

Wayne Carey was one of the greatest Players ever in the history of Australian Rules Football. He only ever played for a team called the North Melbourne Kangaroos, he was captain of this team for a very long time and I believe he was appointed Captain in his early 20s. Too supporters of other teams this man was a Bastard, simple as that he was arrogant, rude, sexist, but a great footy player.

Wayne has a checkered history with the Ladies, its alledged he grabed a young ladies boobs and told her to get a bigger pair when she thrust them in his direction 5 or so years ago. It was known quietly in hushed tomes that he loved a party with lots of ladies present.

Well poor Wayne got married to a lovely lass called Sally, his hometown sweetheart, isn`t that lovely. Early last year the North Melbourne Boys had a BBQ at a senior players house, with some partners along for the afternoon get together. Seems poor Wayne was sprung... in the bathroom with the Wife of the Vice Captain in a very compromising possition(there are no posionous snakes in this bathroom Wayne). Well a fight developed and Wayne has never played Football for the Kangaroos again, he even stepped out of Football last year all year.

This year Wayniepoos is playing for a team called the Adeliade Crows, and this week Adelaide play North Melbourne. One of the senior players for North has been heard to say... if Wayne is in the way I`m sure he will be "cleaned up". I can`t wait this is gunna be a great crash and bash game.

I`ll let you know how many times Wayne gets belted.

Well the game was played last night ... what a non event. A few tackles a bit of push and shove but nothing serious. Typical of these two teams they are both nothing type of clubs!

Adelaide just happens to be second on the ladder, all be it after six rounds. The Kangaroos also drew with last year's AFL Premiers, Brisbane, last week - who are touted as unberatable regularly. Hardly nothing type clubs Tess.

I'd actually like Tess to say which team she barracks for.

I'm not upset - as far as history in the competition goes, the Crows ARE a nothing type club (third last to enter and all that), but the Kangaroos....? The records of both clubs, however, speak for themselves - even Tess says that in her rave of what Carey did for the club.

You are mistaken though - it's after Collingwood and Essendon! Isn't it great how badly Collingwood are travelling this year! After Eddie no doubt paid for them to play every game of the pre-season at the Dome, they deserve everything they get!!!!! The Crows beaing them was just fantastic. I just love beating Eddie - so does Leigh Matthews! Did you read the interview before the Brisbane/Collingwood match? He didn't mentioned anything about the Collingwood Football Club - just Eddie! Hilarious.

Anyway, I've just got one last thing you Bomber - BRISBANE LIONS - AFL PREMIERS 2001!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to Essendon this year though. although i can't wait for a non-Victorian Grand Final. I'd like to see that!

As for Grand Final 2001, I don't remember & plan to keep it that way. But we can talk about 2000.I remember everything everything about that day.

Well Aussiecrow I am a Collingwood supporter. I am also a Pink Magpies member, the only by the looks of it glbT supporters group of a Professonal Sporting Club in the world.

I Call Adelaide a nothing type Club because they are not a real Club based orgainisation.

A history lesson for you! Read carefully...
1990, The AFL apporoached the Port Adelaide Football Club enticing entry into the Australian Football League but with PAFC leaving their state based League South Australian "National" Football League. The SAnFL started legal action that stopped poor old Port from changing their proposal which was for Port Adelaide MAGPIES while the SAnFL went about hastily getting their own proposal together The Adelaide Crows.
The only reason the Crows exsist is the fact that with the legal moves by the SAnFL Port couldn`t remove the Magpie from their proposal and naturally most Victorian Clubs voted against them because of Collingwood, when given the choice of both proposals.

So the Crows where formed from all nine SAnFL Clubs, while Port had to wait until 1997 for their turn to enter the AFL as Port Power established 1870 not 1990 like the Crows or 1892 like Collingwood, or even 1854 like our oldest Club Melbourne.

Sure you have 40,000 members but you have a Stadium that holds only 52,000 and without a Membership most Adeliade supporters run the risk of not getting a seat. At Collingwood we play at a Stadium the MCG, which is under redevlopment so is reduced to 70,000 from 98,000 but we have over 39,000 members even though we don`t need to have a membership to ensure a seat at a game.

The word around Collingwood Websites this week is the Crows are our Bitches, we play you this week at your home ground... are you scared? you should be! We are mad as hell after 3 losses and we are gunna give your boys a caining they will never forget.

No argument from me there, except that there were 10 clubs before the Crows formed. West Torrens and Woodville united to form - you guessed it - Woodville West Torrens shortly afterward.

And it's a caning - from cane! sorry that's the pedantic in me coming out!

The other interesting thing is that Norwood and Sturt (my Adelaide team - and last year's premiers) together put a proposal to the AFL when the second Adelaide license was available, but Port's bid was the successful one. Can't beat tradition!

I really like the Pink Magpies site and think it is about bloody time! the Tarkyn (is that how you spell it?) was very sweet. He is obviously very humbled (or uncomfortable) with his gorgeousness and almost gay icon status. My god he is stunning though!

I'm not scared about Collingwood coming over, but knowing Eddie will be in town makes my skin crawl!!! Sorry, but I just cannot stand the guy! They really should have someone hosting "How to be patronised by a Millionaire" who can actually pronounce Millionaire!!!!!

While it's good to win minor round matches, September matches are the only ones that really matter - aren't they!!! Sorry I couldn't resist! Hope it's a great match though. I will be watching from the comfort of my lounge room.

Jarrod Molly has 6 stiches in his face after a collision with a team mate yesterday, but that wont stop our mountain of a man, and what a man he is. I wouldn`t be surprised to see him play on Mr(can I f*** your Wife) Carey.

I call it as Collingwood by 30 to 40 points, we will be back in town!

Well we did what Collingwood does over in South Australia, we make the SA teams our bitches, and embaress them in front of their hometown.

Jarrod Molloy( Molly) now has a broken nose to add to those 6 stitches, I just wanna cuddle him... My maternal instincts are finally coming out after 12 months of hormone treatment.

Just one of those anomily weeks really. The reigning premiers were beaten by the side most likely to get the wooden spoon, Essendon lost, Port lost. Luckily the slim loss (!!!!!!) doesn't change adelaide's position on the ladder. and 30 - 40 points??????

I think Eddie needed more practice with his lines - he was THE worst Logies host ever (not that i've seen every logies presentation!). Far worse than Greg Evans (God there's a blast from the past!). Eddie is a REALLY bad interviewer. I had to turn it over everytime he was talking with someone. He asks three questions at once! I think you definitely need a comedic person hosting. BRING BACK BERT!!!!!

And come on September.

Good luck with your other three road trips this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And don't even THINK of saying it's the luck of the draw! It must be good to get out of the Melbourne winter four times a year though. You did bring the weather with you - today and rest of the week is "fine and in the low to mid 20s".

Do you mind if I don't talk about football this week. It was Essendon's worst effort I have seen in years. It was very hard sitting there watching it. I think it is going to be a long season for the Bombers.

Aussiebomber, well I`d be very annouyed by your team... loosing to Richmond who by the way have joined the Pies with a supporters group..Gay Tigers. There is a line there(Richo?) but I`m not sayin it The crowd was poor also for a Tigers/Bombers game with both teams flying, did you get 50,000?
You guys are welcome over at the PMs board as well, we don`t bite... much. It would be great to maybe get together before the next Bombers or Crows game and have a drink, we always try and meet for a drink pregame as a group. Its very funny when all these guys roll up kissing and hugging at a good old straight Melbourne Pub, the looks we get!
