Okay, has this happened to anyone else here?...You are flipping the channels, and you catch a glimpse of a curling tournament (Briar) and you have to stop and watch it. I mean I know next to nothing about the rules, but the sport just seems to suck me in.

Down here in D.C., we can't just flip the channels and run into a curling tournament -- that being said we watched every match we could during the SLC Olympics -- and we're hooked!

I got hooked on curling a few years ago. It's very interesting to watch. There's strategy, skill, and just a bit of luck. Plus there are a few cute guys in competition.

Unfortunately, Paul Gross's (the mountie on Due South) movie Men With Brooms made a mockery of the sport of curling, rather than promote it as sport as I had hoped.

Oh yeah, don't get me started on how cute some of the curlers can be....some of them could "Throw Their Rocks in my House" any day..

There are three draws almost every day on TSN this week because it's the World Championships from Bismarck North Dakota. Colleen Jones is practically out of the semis but the Canadian men are still in contention.

Was flipping channels tonight and noticed that there was some curling on TSN2. On top of that they were showing Team Kevin Martin, with uber-hot John Morris as the third. Then I noticed this funny commercial for Startcurling.ca: Hurry hard!
