Is it me or are the olympics sort of boring overall? Obviously im big into sports and all.. but I have found that since they started rotating the olympics every two years, and then also started to allow pros in the team sports, I find that Im less and less interested. Ill watch occasionally, or when it comes down to medal games.. but it just doesnt hold my interest like it used to. It doesnt help that the hottest dudes ( the snowboarders) wear the most clothes...lol

I think the rotation of Winter/Summer games every two years has definitely taken away from the special-ness, the mystique, of the Olympics. It used to be that every 4 years was an Olympic year -- that year was something special. Now, not so much.

I much prefer summer olympics in general. I don't really follow the winter olympics at all.

I agree that the special-ness of Olympic years has been diluted by having an Olympics every two years. Additionally, I think the overload of sports information that enables us to know results long before NBC airs the event lessens the excitement of the Olympics. I always loved watching the speed skating, downhill skiing, and (of course) the hockey--and am enjoying it this time around--but it's just not as enthralling as it should be because I've already heard/read the results.
