Good news. All 54 hockey games (including both men's and women's hockey) will be televised. All games involving the USA teams and the gold-medal game will air commercial-free in their entirety Said Dick Ebersol, NBC sports charirman: "Our hockey coverage will be a fan's dream come true. Die-hard fans should mark their calendars for Wednesday, February 22. It will be the single greatest day in hockey--all the game's biggest stars will compete in the men's quarterfinals as the world's best eight teams face off."

I'll be settling in for a long stretch on the couch.

That makes two of us Adam, and in honor of the US Mens hockey team I will be sporting my souvenir 2002 USA hockey logo t-shirt I bought when the Chinese women played the US womens Olympic hockey team here in an exhibition. It was won by the US. I think the final score was 13-2. eek! Oh, and I don't beleive what the "experts" are predicting either. wink

I'm wondering how much of the coverage will be live. With the time difference, are they going to put the US team's games in prime-time slots but on tape delay?

For games on tape delay, will they have any commercials between periods and edit to remove the intermission? If live, will they have commercials during intermissions?
Enigma
All of Canada's games will be LIVE as usual. We're used to waking up early to watch games (World Junior Hockey Championships). Hope you guys enjoy the games...enjoy watching Canada go two in a row.

My ESPN penpal/stalker sent an e-mail, informing me that "the ESPN family of networks" [read ESPN News] will feature "tons and tons" of highlights from the Olympics hockey games, focusing on "all the teams with NHL players" rather than just Team USA.
