There are no more unbeatens in college basketball. Maryland defeated previously unbeaten Clemson today.

and let's not fail to mention that the Hokies knocked off Duke and UNC in the past week. Pretty sweet (-:

In all honesty you have every right to with those great wins though yesterday was almost a loss after blowing a 22 pt lead with 3 minutes left!

We shall see where it all shakes out but congrats on 2 great wins in a week!

I have to give the Hokies some props for their two wins over UNC and Duke. Its a drastic improvement from the Hokie team that lost to Marshall and Western Michigan earlier this year.

VT's basketball program has become a competitive program since joining the ACC. Lets hope the Hokies can continue their early season conference momentum.

I had assumed that game was going to OT after Clemson tied it, so I stepped away. I'm sure Clemson will be sending this to the ACC office.

North Carolina's whuppin' of Arizona was a bit more than I expected. Arizona has really gone flat lately and UNC continues to get better. They may very well be the best team in the country.

They acknowledged and apologized for the mistake. Clemson better use this game to make some noise to the selection committee come tournament time.

Another close loss to Va. yesterday drops them to 18-4 overall.

I'll say unc knocks off Duke by 10 points -- since Duke isn't, well, Duke this season. I can see five more losses for them: tonight, plus @ MD, @ Clemson, @ BC and @ unc-- maybe relegating them to the NIT?

When Duke was as you put it "not Duke" the last time they still pushed UNC to the brink and thats when they had Jamison etc.

I am not saying that Duke will win tonight nor will I say they will lose... It is the ACC and anyone can beat and anyone has... well accept for Wake and Miami.....

As far as them losing the next 5 games.... is it possible... yes ... is it likely ...no...

NIT bound .. Duke.. I dont think so ... they have beaten more then a few teams in the top 25 when they played them (Indiana, Clemson, Air Force etc.) and they are 2 wins away from another 20 win season despite not being at their best!

Tonight should be interesting... Which Greg Paulus will show up... Will Nelson have more assists to turn overs... Will Scheyer be hot from 3pt land....Will McRoberts foul out trying to guard Tyler....Will Duke be able to have a lead and hold it into the last 3 min of a game? All this and more will be answered by 11ish EST tonight!

Duke is one good player away from being DUKE again.

Your pre-game assessment was pretty accurate. The game itself was a bit sloppy (and I thought, some sketchy officiating). Duke seemed to jump out to a lead based on emotion and adrenline and then Carolina played its way back into the game and won it, but seemed to under-utilize its over-whelming amount of talent.

No doubt those were all big wins -- but let's say they lose their remaining road games and finish sub .500 in the ACC. Isn't it still true that the NCAA selection committee looks at the last ten games to determine whether a team makes the dance and where they're seeded? That would not play out well for Duke -- unless they make a strong run in the ACC tourney.

I agree with you totally I think if Duke can win 2 more games in conference and beat St. Johns they will have over 20 wins they should be ok.... If they continue to self distruct in every game, then I think they deserve the NIT ....

I think Coach K should take the team to a shrink for group therapy and get their heads back in order before heading down the home stretch since I think they are all mental ESPECIALLY Demarcus, Josh, and Greg!

I think a good question too is: Is Clemson's collapse the worst in ACC history? Start off something like 17-0. Have subsequently been 2-8 -- two more losses are probable.

Clemson has a history of starting strong and fading down the stretch when they get into ACC play.

Maryland will return to the tournament after a two year absence. At least my Magic 8-Ball tells me the outlook looks good.

I'm used to always seeing MD in the NCAA tourney. I'm glad they'll get back in it.

Right now, the most dangerous ACC team is Virginia.

Their home game vs Virginia Tech is going to be insane. Both teams with identical records in and out of conference. Both tied for 2nd in conference. And UNC has a tough 2 games remaining: GA Tech and Duke.

This is an exciting ACC finish. I think at least 7 teams should get bids.

Georgia Tech had a nice win over UNC last night. That speaks volumes on the ACC that the Tar Heels are still pretty solid team, but only have a 10-5 record in the ACC.

Some big time games tomorrow with Duke @ UNC. Let's see if UVA can win a game that they are suppose to win and finish of Wake Forest to clinch a regular sesaon title.

As an obvious Duke fan I feel they deserve no higher then an 8 seed. Even then a little part of me feels they will be out in the first round. This hasn't been nor will it be there year.

I recommend intense therapy until next season for the majority of the team.

Ugh, how can you guys watch this tournament with Dick Vitale announcing? I barely made it through Brent Musburger yesterday on the Big Ten broadcast, but I want to punch Dick Vitale with a sword after five minutes of the UNC/FSU game.
