This discussion string is being initiated by Gay Hockey International in order to facilitate a discussion among GLBT hockey players and fans with regard to the 2006 competing games.

GHi is seeking input from players about how we handle the possibility of two large scale tournaments just a few days apart.

Additionally GHi is asking hockey players and fans to share their views on whether or not GHi should be a member of the FGG, GLISA, neither, or both.

Is GHi a new name for IGLIHA or is this an entirely new group?

While we are still the International Gay & Lesbian Ice Hockey Association, IGLIHA has adopted a new acronym based on Gay Hockey International or GHi. So yes IGLIHA is GHi.

Vancouver has announced they will attend Montreal. Any other teams making decisions out there. It looks like my team Vermont will also be selecting Montreal, given it's close geographical location for one.

Is there any feeling that Montreal's GL Hockey community, a long time stewart of gay hockey and the home of the first tournament, has earned loyalty in the GL Hockey community?
