Joe in Philly
(edited to correct dates)

Okay, I'm going to start a thread and see what we get. Based on the early discussion on this in the Yankees thread I think the game we're looking at is Tues. 6/20 at 7:05 PM (the other games are Mon. 6/19 and Wed. 6/21) at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Sometime in early February, when there's a presale for individual game tickets for season ticket customers, we'll be able to get tickets but we'll have to move quickly to get decent seats. It would be best not to wait for the sale to the public at large. (If we had 20-25 or more we could buy as a group -- group sales begin January 25th -- but that is a longshot at best, I'd say.)

Assume the tickets to be in the upper level, around $20, give or take a couple bucks. But even upstairs the sight lines are good and you're not that far away from the field.

If you would like to attend, please indicate by way of a post to this thread -- and indicate how many tickets you want, should you be planning on bringing someone else.

Pat125 and I can make it Tuesday, June 13. Thanks, Joe!

Giving this a bump. Who else is interested?
phillyrunner
I think I may be up for one of those nights. Let us know which one you choose.
Joe in Philly
Well, unless a whole bunch of people reply and want another game, for now I'd say plan on the Tues. game as the one we go to.

The individual game tickets go on sale Feb. 22nd. The presale for season ticket customers will be some time before that (a week or so). So we have a deadline for anyone interested.

Of course, as of now I still haven't paid for my 2006 tickets since I'm still waiting on what the Phillies will announce after the debacle with the protestors last year on Gay Community Night.
scottie
Put me down for a ticket. I have already paid for my season tickets in full, so I'll be able to take advantage of the pre-sale for season ticket holders.

I just checked Phillies schedule. Yankees are playing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday June 19, 20 and 21st, all at 7:05 PM. Monday night's game is a ESPN game. The dates listed at the top of this thread are (hold your breath) Mets games.

So we need to start all over in terms of what date(s) work best for everyone. I will take care of getting the tickets (unless you want to do this JIP), so I will check the pre-sale ticket date and establish a deadline on this thread within the next day or so.
Cattledog
Thanks for the update on the dates, Scottie. Pat125 and I discussed it, and we would still need to stick with a Tuesday night. So, we would like to go on Jun. 20, if it works out with you and any others.

It's fine if you take care of the tickets, especially since I still haven't sent them any money for 2006 (still waiting on their policy announcement re: protestors).

The Tuesday game is fine for me.

Also, if anyone is on a budget let me know, if you don't want to state so on the board, send me a PM. If I can buy $40 (or so) tickets, I will, unless anyone objects.
phillyrunner
Put me down for one ticket.
scottie
I'm going to set a deadline of Friday 2/3, as the presale starts the second week of February.

Wow, how'd I miss this thread?? I'm definitely in. Is it safe to wear Yankee garb in Philly, or will I be hit with a battery? tongue.gif I'm fine with any ticket price - it's the Yankees, after all.
scottie
Reminder - deadline to join the group is tomorrow, as I need to get tickets next week.
Ted P
Am I too late? I'd like to go.
scottie
Ted - Just in the nick of time. Consider yourself in. I am about to buy tickets online.
Cattledog
Scottie, I assume you will just e-mail us about how much we owe you? Thanks again for doing this.
Ted P
Thanks! Let me know too...I'm temporarily rich and can afford this outing.

Temporarily rich? Want to buy me dinner or drinks while you feel so flush with cash? wink
Ted P
The problem is...whenever I have money, I have no spare time. (And the converse, too...lots of time, no money.) Maybe one of these days they'll even out. And Philadelphia will have some major sports championship.

Seriously...I can pay you now. Just let me know how.
Munson Man
Hey Scottie, did you get the tickets? Are we in the first row behind the Yankee dugout? If not don't worry - second row is fine, too.
