Dunno. Gotta love this story. The U.S. pair not really even considered to be in contention, no agents, no endorsements, take it all. One of them is the ONLY African-American woman competing in the Winter Games (and the 1st to win a Gold at a Winter Games). Jean Racine & Gea Johnson get left in the friggin' dirt ("It's devastating!" Racine whines. Guess so when "win at any cost" has been your mantra). With all the musical chairs going on in the sport, I guess it was inevitable that SOMEBODY who got dumped was gonna end up on top. Just glad it wound up being Vonetta Flowers.

I was cheering so loud for our team. I agree that it is an awesome story. I hope that they get the recognition they deserve for their accomplishment. As one commentator put it last night, "What the American men have not been able to do for 56 years, the upstart American women's team 2 did their first time out of the gate."

Last night was an awesome night to be watching the tube.

It was heartwarming to see this team win; their joy was so palpable.

As for Racine, I think it was one of those times when karma rears its head and rights a wrong.
