Evidently, I am a coplete idiot who can't seem to operate a VCR (good thing I work in the high-tech field). I tried to videotape the closing ceremonies, but failed miserably. If anyone in the Dallas area videotaped it and would be willing to lend it to me, I would really appreciate it. I'll come pick it up at any mutually agreeable time.

Jqueer:
How about buying the official videotape of the Winter Olympics from NBC itself? I saw TV ads about this videotape, and I think that they cost $25 or something like that.
What do you think?

JQueer:
I checked the NBC store, and they have a 75 minute videotape of the entire Winter Olympics (from the Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony). It costs $20! How about that?

A 75 minute videotape can't have the entire opening or closing ceremony, much less both. I'm not looking for the highlight reel.

I have both of them on tape, but you're going to have to come to Montana to get them.

Would you be willing to mail them postage due?

jqueer, go to the Michelle Kwan forum. There is a message category for closing ceremonies tape trades and sales. If you post a message, I am certain that someone will make you a tape of the closing ceremonies.

Also, Bud Greenspan will be coming out with a tape that will be better than the NBC one, I'm sure. It will at least be longer than 75 minutes! I taped both ceremonies (actually attended the closing and was at dress rehearsal for the opening) and also taped about 20 hours of events.

I could mail them postage due, or actually I think I'd rather go to Dallas. I need to assemble a road trip crew. It's only like 20 hours down there, or maybe 30.
PM me if you don't find someone in your area, I would be more than willing to make a copy and get them to you.

Postage due I can handle, but I'm afraid paying for a road trip is out of my league
