Ronaldo is the greatest. Yeah yeah.
He's going to win the Golden Boot or whatever it's called. Yeah yeah.

But what I really want to talk about is: HIS HAIR. What the hell was up with that tuft in the front look?

Trust me. I'm not some "hair and make up" queen ... but the hair was bizarre. Now wonder the Turks had trouble defending him ... the look was just too much to handle.

Please ... someone ... get him to go back to the buzzcut look that's working for him.

Yeah Ronaldo's hair was awful, but the one Turk's modified mohawk wasn't much better though! Funny that hairstyles have been so prominent this World Cup -- from Beckam's highlights to Mathis' pale-skin mohawk (no non-PC offense meant to whomever that's gonna irk ...) to the red-dye of the Koreans.

... and then even Matt Lauer had to catch the bad hair fever!

Oh goody, time to tell my Ronaldo story:

1997 (I think), the lobby of the Principe di Savoia hotel in Milan. I and two other American friends are waiting for a Milan resident (friend of the other couple) to take us to dinner at a non-touristy restaurant. I walked to the desk to ask a question, and stood next to this tall, well-dressed darker-skinned young guy with a shaved head. Two supermodel-types (11 on the scale of ten) joined him as he talked to anothr desk clerk. Just then our host arrived and motioned us to his car. Once underway and after being introduced, he asked me "do you have any idea who you were just standing next to"?

"No" I replied. "Only the best football player in the world" he replied .....

I was confused --- I was SURE that Joe Montana was fair skinned and had more hair
