I am actually a little disappointed here. Even though DC United missed the playoffs last year, and barely made it this year (and got promptly blown out by Chicago), I always admired Ray Hudson's zest for keeping soccer popular in DC. The problem is that every coach since Bruce Arena has been compared to Bruce Arena.

I was just talking to one of my co-workers who lives and breathes DC United. He told me that he felt that Ray Hudson was never too keen on staying here in DC, and that he was ready to move on after the MLS team he had in Florida folded. In other words, this could have just been a temporary situation for him until he found another job. If that is true, Hudson was certainly a good actor because he always seemed so passionate about DC United, and soccer, in general, in the United States.

One thing to say here: there goes the quote master of MLS. Example?
"Even a blind man riding on a horse could see his talent." Hudson on Freddy Adu

Now speaking as a Metro fan...
HA HA HA HA

I really will miss him. ESPN...hire him as a commentator!
