This man has an MBA? :confused: Where does this fall under the definition of "Conservative"?

CNN Story

What is that sucking sound? Oh yeah, it's the sound of even more of America's future being destroyed. Mission Accomplished!

Alan Greenspan already commented on this mess and our trade imbalance and the pressure is on both Shrub and the Congress, and I expect them both to put out, and try to get these two messes under control, but I know that is wishful thinking!

{smoke & mirrors, smoke & mirrors}

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain--there's no problem with the deficit.

Hey! Look over there--it's two homos trying to get married and destroy society!!!

{more smoke, more mirrors}

Uh-oh...is this disloyalty? Truth=disloyalty in this corrupt administration. Somebody get Porter Goss over to Greenspan's office pronto!

It's interesting to read about Greenspan's role in raising Social Security taxes (an essentialy regressive tax) in the 1980's to fund expanding deficits, and his agreement with the tax cuts for the wealthy supported by Shrub, and then his comments on how social security benefits will have to be cut because they can't be supported. Of course social security can't support itself when it has to support the hideously imbalanced budget mess we're in right now! But we'd better cut the benefits to the people who have paid into it. Read All About it.

I don't understand how people don't see these 'leaders' for the phonies they are! The federal budget is in such a mess, and yet Bush's former budget director just got elected Governor of Indiana, claiming he can straighten things out there. If I had the current federal budget on my resumé, I wouldn't expect to get hired for anything.

It's easy...the majority of American voters are now deservingly labeled as idiots. I wonder if Indiana also had an anti-gay marriage law on the ballot, too?
RazorbackTX
Once again, brought to you by the "small government" party.

Of course bobbie fails to point out that the debt ceiling is raised all the time, including during the years we ran a surplus.
gmginsfo
MIB, how can one note what one doesn't know?

More info: There was no "anti-gay marriage law" on Indiana's 11-2-04 ballot. Both parties in its Legislature wisely declined to go down that path. As for GOP Gov.-elect Mitch Daniels, he took A LOT of heat from the RR for meeting with Log Cabin members and other gay groups before the election. His response? Butt out - always good advice to those who don't know what they're talking about.

Please note that there were HUGE cuts in spending... Billions cuts from Education, the Environment, FDA, OSHA, etc. and there was only $154B in last minute 'Pork'.

Seems like a conservative budget to me.

What - isn't this what America was expecting?
