Well, let me get this back to something more important - \"Jeff Gannon's\" possible implication in the \"forged\" CBS National Guard tapes.

It turns out the entry/exit logs provide an interesting factoid:

Many people believe that CBS being duped on the documents, which were not the sole support for their report that Bush did not fulfill his National Guard duty and then repeatedly lied about it, were the work of someone in the White House, quite likely Karl Rove, because the focus on the authenticity of the documents (and it has NEVER been proven they were fake or forged) took the focus off the facts - Bush was unable to honor his commitment then and is a liar about it now.

Now the really interesting thing about "Gannon's" presence at the White House that day? The president, along with his press secretary, were hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away that day! They were on Air Force One, so there was no press briefing at the White House that day.

Why would "Gannon," who has claimed in the past he NEVER spoke to any White House official outside of press briefings, be at the White House when there was no such briefing? And isn't it interesting that he bragged about the "scoop" he was getting both to Hannity and to the Free Republic?

Not that "Gannon" was ever part of the White House's attempts to manipulate the media - that could never happen.

I'd be really interested to know what standard operating procedure is. When I was a reporter covering a school district, I was in and out of the school district building all the time whether there was a meeting or not. Is that the same at the White House? I don't know. I think it would be very interesting to hear what a past or present White House correspondent had to say about Gannon's access. It's rather interesting that in all this, we haven't heard from the press as sources.

William, I never "said" that you said anything about Clinton. I was taking liberty with the fact that an awful lot of Republicans are still attempting to blame Clinton for all kinds of things that Bush is doing wrong. Consider it a form of literary expression. Republicans were all over Clinton like white on rice after Monicagate, but strangely silent about a Republican gay prostitute with White House press credentials.

Our darling Gannon was a guest on Real Time with Bill Maher last night. The man looked like a deer in headlights. He did make one good funny-- "Most people prostitute themselves *after* they become journalists".

I downloaded it from Crooks and Liars and after two minutes of the clip, stoppred then deleted the file. Life is too short to waste watching all of that appearance last night.

At this point in this story, the only additional tape I want to view are Gannon's porn tapes and I'm sure he made at least one.

Why doesn't he just release it, make some money and then when he's asked about it, just say it's an allegation, like his escorting?

The Blade, which is scraping the bottom of the journalistic barrel, is running a column from Gannon every two weeks or so now.

Maybe the Blade's reporters and editors, who are usually so concerned about the sexual orientation of public figures; Susan Sontag, Luther Vandross, Ismail Merchant, will inform readers about their new columnist's sexual orientation.

Yep, heeeee's back! On the hot seat of Treasongate/Plamegate no less! It turns out that the protean \"Bulldog\" Gannon may not have told the truth about when he saw that classified memo about Valerie Plame Wilson, since he said he conducted the interview in September and the WSJ mention of Plame Wilson's name came out in October. On the other hand, Ron Brynaert thinks that Jimmyjeff was just lying, and plagiarized from the WSJ but didn't want to admit he. (JJGG has been repeatedly accused of plagiarizing before.)

So, what is the correct chronology? Did someone in the White House share classified info with JJGG, a violation of a 1917 federal law, with a known male prostitute and partisan shill who had zero journalistic credentials and press experience, in order to help destroy the credibility of a White House critic? If s/he lied about it to the Grand Jury, then that person or those persons could be facing perjury and obstruction charges, as well as conspiracy and obstruction charges if they then tried to get Gannonguckert also to lie for or with them. Or did JJGG lie to Fitzgerald and the Grand ury about his sources, thereby impeding the investigation and possibly leaving himself potentially open to criminal charges?

Also, will the mainstream media EVER be able to put 2-2 together, and will we ever hear those who dismissed this very odd story (which would have led to impeachment charges against Clinton) in the first place admit that he WAS more than just a marginal, "eccentric" cog in the propaganda machine this White House assembled?
