Minister says dot-com hurts business

By Mark Helm
Hearst Newspapers

The Rev. Jerry Falwell is taking on http://www.jerryfalwell.com/ .

Falwell, the conservative Christian leader, wants the Web site, which makes fun of him, shut down.

Created by Gary Cohn, a Highland Park, Ill., Internet designer, the site parodies Falwell's speeches and fund-raising activities and contains sections called "Faith Ba$ed" and "Jerry's Lies"

In another section, "How to Follow the Bible," Cohn challenges Falwell, a Baptist minister and chancellor of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, to explain how certain directives from the Bible should be followed. Falwell has cited Biblical passages to condemn homosexuals and people of other faiths. Cohn asks particularly about "Biblical laws" that instruct followers to sell their daughters into slavery and to put anyone who works on the Sabbath to death.

Website "hurts business?" Isn't that an odd thing to say?

Bu. Buwah. BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Piss off Falwell, you humorless old prune. Doesn't feel so great to have people say crap about you, does it? Well, deal with it. And of course it proves that his organization is totally a business, not a spiritual organization. Sic the IRS on 'em.

Ain't the Internet great?

You mean...ol' Jer is still out among society? He hasn't been institutionalized yet? I could have sworn after his comments about 09/11, where he said that gays, feminists, pro-choice abortion advocates and the ACLU caused the destruction of the WTC, that some kind, compassionate person or persons would have taken Jer to a mental institution, outfitted him with a strait jacket, pump up full of drugs, and locked him up forever. And, maybe later on, done the same thing with Marion "Pat" Robertson, D. James Kennedy, Lou Sheldon, Lon Mabon, etc, etc, etc.

Ol' Jer's comments about 09/11 showed that he's just completely insane. Utterly, completely deranged. Apparently, he's untethered the last links to reality. Why anyone still listens to this man anymore is a mystery to me. He's like those people walking along the street talking to themselves...having incomprehensible conversations with themselves.

I thought that was Billy Graham!
